On Wednesday night, February 17th, Josh First spoke to a large and very receptive audience in Duncannon, Perry County.

State Game Lands 254.
First was representing the
Central Pennsylvania
Conservancy.

"Perry County voters are critical to winning both the Republican primary race and the general election in November," said First.

"Perry County is all-American, patriotic, conservative country.  These are my kind of people.  As a life-long hunter and fisherman, NRA member, camouflage-wearing, pick-up truck driving Republican, it felt really good to meet and talk with the citizens here," said First.

The speaking location was held at the Duncannon Sportsmen's Association, where First is a member.

Through his past work with a local conservancy, Josh First has helped acquire or protect several properties in Perry County, including the Lightner Tract on Blue Mountain, and the Half-Falls tract north of Duncannon, both of which are now State Game Lands, set aside for wildlife habitat, public hunting, and trapping.  He also helped the late Jerry Fitzpatrick donate a conservation easement on his 75-acre Perry County farm outside Duncannon.  Fitzpatrick was a conservation-minded Republican, "like just about everyone in Perry County," said First.

"The love of the land around us, of our country, and of God above us all run deep in Perry County," said First.  "I love these people."
